The annual Amashovashova National Classic from Pietermaritzburg to Durban takes place every year in October. This very tough race is attracting increasing numbers of cyclists. In 2004 there were about 5 500 entrants with an increasing amount in 2007 and organizers are hoping to have increased the event to 20 000 riders by 2010. Packages include entry, accommodation and flights.
